Canon History: Although he began life as a human boy, Cobweb was Incepted into the Sulh, a nomadic Wraeththu tribe, when he was 16. Some time later, while traveling to Galhea to deliver a message from the Uigenna to the Varrs, he encountered Terzian, the leader of the Varrs. Struck by his beauty, Terzain convinced him to remain behind as his consort. Cobweb fell in love with him almost instantly, despite the fact that Terzain viewed him as little more than a possession. Cobweb eventually became pregnant, and gave birth to a son named Swift, nearly at the cost of his own life.

A few years later Cobweb accompanied Terzain and a war party in a raid against the Irraka tribe. He was knocked from his horse during the fighting and severely injured his leg, shattering the bone and piercing the skin in multiple places. Spinel, the leader of the Irraka, recovered him and brought him back to Phesbe, hoping to force him to host his sons. He soon gave up on this plan, however, as Cobweb’s injury remained untreated and grew steadily worse. Before he could die, however, Pellaz and Cal happened to travel through Phesbe, and Pellaz used his powers to help begin healing in Cobweb’s leg while Cal tricked Irraka into letting them take him back to Terzain.

Upon returning to Galhae, he slowly recovered, only to discover that Terzain had fallen in love with Cal. Cal and Pellaz left soon afterwards, but Cobweb remained bitterly jealous and angry. Although he and Terzain grew closer afterwards, their relationship remained one-sided, and things grew worse five years later when Cal returned to their house Forever. Cobweb was caught up in a storm of jealousy and hatred, something Cal encouraged by flirting with Terzain and befriending Swift. Cobweb eventually used his powers to blast away the mental blocks that prevented Cal from remembering Pellaz’s death and his murder of Orien, hoping the knowledge would destroy his rival. Instead, it gave Cal the confidence to accept Terzain’s offer to host a son. Despite their rocky relationship, Cal asked Cobweb to raise his son, and he reluctantly agreed.

Shortly afterwards, Terzain was kidnapped while fighting the Gelaming, and Cobweb had a vision which convinced him that Cal and Swift needed to travel south to recover him. Before they left his relationship with Cal changed dramatically, and they became intimate before he left with Swift. Alone in Forever, Cobweb was at first quite sad, but slowly learned to live with the idea that Terzain might not ever return. Over a year past before Swift and a Gelaming army returned, and successfully overthrew the tyrannical Varrs. Terzain was also returned home, but his captivity had left him severely drained and slowly dying. Although he continued to treat him even worse than usual, Cobweb had finally accepted the fact that, to Terzain, he would always be little more than a possession, no matter how much he might love him. Terzain eventually died, and, while brokenhearted, Cobweb handled it well.

He succeeded in impregnating Cobweb, although it was obviously too early for anyone to have realized this. (It should be noted that, for the purpose of both deviation and to keep things less confusing, the Wraeththu reproduction process has been altered to one virtually identical to what human women experience; nine months instead of two, and a live birth instead of a pearl. Harlings will also age at the same rate as human children. The only thing that remains unchanged is a lack of breasts, as harlings are able to eat solid foods from birth.)

Cobweb’s injury remained untreated and grew steadily worse, and he tried to starve himself to death. Before he could die, however, Pellaz and Cal happened to travel through Phesbe, and Pellaz used his powers to help begin healing in Cobweb’s leg while Cal tricked Spinel into letting them take him back to Terzain.

It took him some time to begin to recover, and the rape and captivity had nearly shattered his spirit completely. He was still furious to realize Terzain had fallen in love with Cal, however, and was happy to see him and Pellaz leave Forever. He spent most of his time alone, haunting the upper rooms of Forever until Terzain, fed up with it, practically ordered him to get over what had happened to him. He had no time to try, however, because shortly after he found himself in a mysterious glass tower…
Personality: Cobweb is a very complex person, and can exhibit very different personality traits based on his mood; he often seems more than a little insane. He can be a mysterious and powerful enchantress, but also vain, possessive, vengeful and jealous at times. He is kind and generally befriends people quickly unless they look likely to threaten his position or relationships with those he cares about. He is very good with children and a wonderful listener, but once he decides he doesn’t like someone it can be very difficult to change his opinion. On the other hand, he is also incredibly loyal to those he cares about, even if they do not necessarily care for him or treat him well.
Appearance: At first glance, it is very easy to mistake Cobweb for a beautiful woman, and he is, indeed, very feminine in both appearance and action. He has long, black hair that falls past his hips, dark, piercing eyes and a stunningly gorgeous face. He tends to dress in pale colors, his favorite of which is light green, and usually wears quite a bit of jewelry. He often weaves flowers or pearls into his hair, giving him the appearance of an enchantress or queen. He is famous for his beauty, and knows it. He is also roughly four months pregnant.
Abilities: Cobweb is a very skilled enchantress, who can and will use his powers to get what he wants or do what he thinks is right. He often falls into trances, and usually knows of important events before they happen. He is also an expert in herbs and their uses. He is a skilled psychic and can read casual thoughts and feelings with ease. He has been known to use his powers to restore or destroy memory or minds, and usually seems very cold or cruel when using any magic.
Strengths: Cobweb’s powers are, without a doubt, his greatest strength. His legendary beauty is another one that he is not afraid to use to his advantage. Finally, his knowledge of herbs and plants is also a strong point.
Weaknesses: He often has little control over his power, specifically trances he may fall into which happen unexpectedly and which he has no decision in experiencing. He can be vain and petty, and is not above picking a catty fight for no reason. He’s also pregnant, and will be experiencing all the discomfort and problems that come with that.
